My precious Oliver...

This is my sweet baby Oliver. He's almost 2 1/2 years old. He's a Havanese. They have a truly interesting history. They were a symbol of wealth in Havana Cuba where they originated. They come from the family of the Bichon Frise. He is the most precious dog in the world. Well, you knew I'd say that, after all, he is my baby and I am a proud Mama.

Oh, thank you Noelle! He does look like Curly :) Sometimes, I wish he had a little friend or sibling...

Calli, glad to SEE you again! And your precious Havana-guy.

I grew up on the 'fahrm' midst (always one each around) Collies and Shepherds...one such Collie was named "Tabitha of Burnham Woods IV"
and we had "papers"! How exciting...he was the worst dog for farming, always wanted to be considered "special", like some of us Alkies!

Isn't it a wonderful thing that creatures such as this sweet one can become such a part of our lives?

What would we do without our beloved animal companions?

By the way -- hope you're feeling all better.

he looks like good fun too :)
Am back from looking after my parents dog (and cat), they give so much, sometimes I miss having a dog, but know we don't have the time right now to give it the attention I'd want.
Hope you're feeling better too, Katie

All of you are so great, thank you so much for your comments on my Oliver and your feel better wishes. I have heard from so many people that they too have had this viral cold/sinus/ear infection thing that never seems to go away, though after 5 days of Z-pack, I am not feeling as though I'm flying at 40,000 feet with my head and ears plugged up and aching, so it must be working!!! :)

yeah!!!

and the simple breath that kept him alive.

A living being that little dog and full of plans by the look of him,.

If you dont deal with the virus in an absolutely way you may find that, even after it is gone, consequences can be felt in the sinuses especially if you are a bit asthmatic.

Check with your doctor and ask if she or he thinks that (we call it seretide 250 here in Europe but you could mention salmeteroli xinafoas) might help. It worked wonders with me. PS. this thing lasts 7 days. The sinus problem could last months.
