comes the light...

"One thing that comes out of myths is that at the bottom of the abyss comes the voice of salvation. The black moment is the moment when the real message of transformation is going to come. At the darkest moment comes the light."

~ Joseph Campbell

Oh, I like this quote. I love Joseph Campbell. I really love how eloquently he points out that many many cultures have the same fundamental myths. Makes me feel closer to the rest of humanity.

Hi, Calli.
I was given the link to your blog by Katie. I have arrived on your doorstep on one of my darkest nights, but now I see a glimmer of light.
THank you.

Charli~ Yes, I feel the same way. I love reading his work as he had such a way of describing and discussing the most complex of subjects.

Noelle~ Thank you, me too! And thanks for visiting again.

Naval ~ Welcome and thanks for your visit. Hope to visit your art blog soon.

Nikita~ I am so pleased you found your way to my page, I must thank Katie for that. I'm so sorry you are having a dark night, though very happy you've left with a glimmer of light. Keep holding onto joyful thoughts! And the darkness doesn't stand a chance next to the light that you hold within you. Be well! xxx

This is a beautiful photograph and beautiful quote. It makes me think of this: O Wind, if Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?
