nothing can help me but that beauty...

What was in that candle's light
that opened and consumed me so quickly?
Come back, my friend.
The form of our love is not a created form.
Nothing can help me but that beauty.
There was a dawn I remember when my soul
heard something from your soul.
I drank water from your spring,
and felt the current take me.

Come back, my friend--we each have more to give, more to take...we need more! Always more! (Sounds like an alkie, to me...hey it IS me!)

Yeah Rumi is good stuff. Not a Romantic--I, but well...maybe sort of. My cello-playing wife introduced me to the "Songs of Bilitis" in 1958. 'Growing up' with Pierre Louys--maybe that's why I believe there's always more...

Sadly, the cellist died. I looked for a long time to find a replacement to play with me the Mozart Duo in G. Although I found many capable musicians, none were "Liz" (real name!) Just realized--Calli, I should not be writing this stuff on a comment. Sorry, got carried away in memories!
