vertigo...

it comes on strong
out of nowhere
...as can love

it goes
out of nowhere
...as can love

flooded with sensations
dizzying moments
equilibrium  ~ out of control
swaying
uncertainty
head in the clouds
moving
more swaying

to the left
to the right
upside
downside
backward
forward

fluttering here
fluttering there

...as
love
moves

to what degree?
what are the
symptoms of love?

Love:
sweaty palms
racing heart
tummy butterflies
lightheadedness
daydreaming
made useless
loss of appetite
no need for sleep
anticipation
inability to concentrate

it's almost as if
 Love = Vertigo

but one can take a prescription for Vertigo
what can one take for Love?

...but more Love!

i can just see this on the shelves, anti-luv or love-sum-more, whichever your heart desires. nah! gimme the real thing any day. with its ups and downs, backwards and forwards, it is a delightful trip indeed.

Calli, it's secretia. this is my first visit. I really enjoyed your poem "Vertigo" and I don't think there is anything we can take for love...

Thanks for writing,

Secretia

oh! Those ARE symptoms not to be healed but by LOVE!
Yes!
How beautifully described!
I love falling in love...luckily so many times in my life...and those still to come!
Why the picture? I am still trying to discern... (?)
Hugs my Sweet friend!

Winters Reaper~ Welcome and thank you for your visit!

Deb~ Ah, the buzz, I knew I forgot one! ;)

Caio~ We cannot avoid love for it finds us no matter what. And, we are meant to love, it is the way!

Brian~ Hi again! Love is indeed, grand! thanks! smiles back :)

Steve~ Yes, you and I know that UGH, don't we? but Love is all there is...so we do what we have to do...;)

Secretia~ Welcome and thanks for visiting. I'll be by soon to check out your blog.

Dulce~ Falling in love is the absolute best thing in the world. Yeah, me too, quite a few times and more to come! ;0 ...the pic is one my daughter took and since I appeared slightly off kilter, it seemed to fit the title of vertigo...plus I have just had a recent bout of vertigo so I was playing with that and that's it. Hugs to you, Hon!

Thanks all! You're awesome!

I love it. I've never thought of Love and Vertigo being similar but it's so true. I am addicted to love but not vertigo, however. Your profile picture is lovely, Calli. xx

floating as if on a sea of down feathers.....no cares and gentle giggling bursting forth into raucous hilarity to calm into sincere smiling eyes gazing beyond each other's minds.....

nothing compares
to the symptoms
of love.

and it's untreatable.
incurable.

might as well
learn to live with it!
(and report back, please!)

peace & Happy Thanksgiving, Calli!

You certainly have a lovely way with words, and I guess the words love You back. Wonder if writing can be considered as a drug-addiction?
